New Mexico Restaurant Week & Art Feast

By Anthony • February 25th, 2010

Savor delectable meals at incredible deals and celebrate the creative connections between fine art and fabulous food during the debut of New Mexico Restaurant Week and Santa Fe’s annual ARTFeast.

This year’s 13th annual ARTFeast, a festive weekend featuring the city’s world-class chefs, acclaimed artists, and Santa Fe fashion & homes, takes place February 26-28.

ARTFeast kicks off with a Fashion Luncheon spotlighting four Santa Fe boutiques and clothiers at the Inn of Loretto from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.

The Edible Art Tour, a gourmet gallery hop on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., is one of the weekend’s highlights. It takes you into beautiful galleries across the city where you’ll sample the culinary artistry of award-winning chefs. The evening continues with Feast or Famine, a dance party from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the famed Coyote Cafe starring Santa Fe’s coolest DJs and the Coyote’s hottest hors d’oeuvres.

Then, get an inside look at some of Santa Fe’s gorgeous homes, from grand estates to intimate enclaves, during the Art of Home Tours from 12 to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The tours showcase eight signature homes that display a variety of architectural and design styles.

Top off the weekend with a Dinner & Art Auction honoring Santa Fe artist and art teacher Sam Scott at 6 p.m. on Saturday at La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa. A Brunch & Auction at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday at Hotel Santa Fe features art work and travel and spa packages designed to help you lead an artful life. ARTFeast is perennially a huge success and best of all, it’s a fundraiser that helps young people develop essential skills to creatively respond to life.

Compare wines from the Old World and the New World, and learn the art of making a Caesar Salad. These are just some of the many classes and demos on tap during Restaurant Week.

Savor three-course, prix-fixe dinners in new and longtime favorite Santa Fe restaurants at fantastic prices – $25 per person, $25 for 2 and $40 per person at a few fine dining restaurants.
